I don't know much about Lloyd Cottage, but the house seems to be situated on what is today called Lloyd's Beach. The devastating hurricane of 1938 could have wiped the cottage out, or another natural disaster may have done the structure in. There are two other cottages at the far end of the beach. If anyone reading this has any information about Lloyd Cottage, please leave it in the comments section so we can all benefit!

'Windmill House' Is Unique Home in Little Compton, RI

'Windmill House' looks much the same today as it did in this vintage postcard. Elderly townspeople appreciate homes like Windmill House. "This place hasn't changed since I was a young boy" is a comment that is often repeated among Little Compton grayheads. According to Boston Magazine, Windmill House was offered for sale in 2016 for the first time ever. The home sold in 2019 for $1.225 million. The Little Compton Historical Society provides a bit of information about Windmill House on their website. 'House is an octagonal grist mill around which wraps a 1 1/2 section of sweeping roof.'
